DEVON KARDELL
Born into a musical family on Nantucket Island, Devon Kardell has been performing, writing, and recording music since childhood. After studying composition at Jacksonville University, he began teaching in 2007, working in schools across the DC area and offering private in-home lessons in piano and guitar for both children and adults. Devon teaches piano, guitar, bass, drums, vocals and bands.
Devon’s teaching style blends joy and creativity with focused, personalized instruction. Whether helping a student learn a classical piece, a favorite pop song, or compose their own music, his goal is to make music both fun and meaningful. He incorporates a wide range of approaches—improvisation, lyric-writing, recording, arranging, and musical games—to meet students where they are and inspire lasting musical growth.
